A Legacy Story – One man touched the hearts of staff and patients while at Glenbeigh - then left one of the greatest gifts of generosity. 

Lewis S. arrived at Glenbeigh on November 12, 1999 a broken man – physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually.  As he began to heal, the real Lewis began to unfold and what emerged was a brilliant, well educated, hard working man with a wonderful sense of humor.  At Glenbeigh, he was able to find peace within his soul. 

In his will, Lewis directed his assets be given to Glenbeigh and be placed in an account known as Lew’s Fund.  The money is restricted to  persons of financial need for residency in Glenbeigh’s extended treatment program. 

Estate planning can be as easy as writing a will, but can also involve trusts, changing beneficiaries of life insurance policies and changing the beneficiary of retirement plans such as 401(k), 403(b), IRA or pension plans.  Donors should consult with their tax advisor regarding the tax benefits of such gifts.
