Glenbeigh offers residential continuing care options for people who have completed an inpatient treatment plan yet require more time to adjust and focus on issues surrounding recovery.
Glenbeigh’s extended care program offers an enhanced core curriculum for an effective transition from primary addiction treatment to structured sober living in a setting that facilitates recovery. This supportive environment embraces the principles of holistic recovery and prepares clients for re-entry into normal, everyday life circumstances.
During their extended stay, patients are offered gender specific programs which include individual, group and family counseling and may participate in recreational activities, educational and volunteer opportunities. The goal is to develop meaningful interpersonal relationships and to fulfill responsibilities that come with living with others in a stable, healthy recovering household.
The extended care program at Glenbeigh focuses on all dimensions involved in the recovery process and facilitates an understanding of the 12-Steps. Enhancing the recovery process initiated in primary inpatient treatment, patients practice applying the 12-Step principles to daily living while developing the social skills and attitudes needed to prevent relapse.
Because of its many benefits, extended residential care is offered to newly recovering individuals who need a longer treatment program in order to establish a solid foundation in sobriety and to individuals with a history of relapse, who have experienced multiple episodes of treatment and/or have enduring issues with their professional standing, employment or home life.
