Family Education at Rock Creek

Sunday Family Education Program

TO MEET COVID-19 PROTOCOLS, THE FAMILY EDUCATION PROGRAM HAS TRANSITIONED TO A VIRTUAL PLATFORM, WHICH IS OFFERED EACH FRIDAY FROM 1:30 PM TO 2:30 PM AND EACH SUNDAY STARTING AT 1:30 PM VIA ZOOM. MORE INFORMATION ON HOW TO PARTICIPATE IS AVAILABLE BY CONTACTING THE GLENBEIGH ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT AT 1-800-234-1001. AN INVITATION TO THE MEETING WILL BE SENT OUT FOR FAMILIES AND LOVED ONES TO CONNECT WITH THE ONLINE PROGRAMMING.

Glenbeigh believes that chemical dependency is a family disease: everyone in the family and anyone close to the addicted person has been affected in some way.

We strongly recommend that patient's family members and loved ones attend the Family Education program*. It is a forum that provides participants with the opportunity to learn about the disease of addiction, the recovery process and how to deal with feelings and concerns as they begin their own journey of healing. Offered every Sunday at Rock Creek, loved ones of current patients are asked to arrive between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM for registration and commit to staying until the program concludes at 3:30 PM. Most treatment centers charge additional fees for family program services. Glenbeigh believes family participation is an integral part of the treatment process therefore family education is offered at no additional cost.

*Due to the nature and intensity of the day, counselors recommend no more than two people attend the Family Education  program each week. If bringing a child, they need to be at least twelve (12) years of age.
